This is the first trip out following by little accident and still not as mobile as I should be, a lot of these images are a bit 'belly special' but variety is the spice of life after all and it proves different angles can work.
GRISSOM INVASION
The 434th Air Refueling Wing at Grissom Air Reserve Base, has approximately 16 KC-135R tankers on strength and it was quite surprising that a 1/4 of that strength was to be seen at Mildenhall during the day.
The four aircraft I photographed all sported nose art.
The four aircraft photographed today were:
REACH102 KC-135R 60-0322 departure 1028l
REACH525 KC-135R 57-1472 arrival 1120l
REACH601 KC-135R 60-0359 arrival 1205l

VALOR51 C-21A 84-0109 appeared in the curcuit and did several touch & goes before landing and parking up in front of the VIP terminal out of sight from John's field.
As always with the C-21 it was very high by the time it reached 11 threshold.

Not one but two E-3A Sentry's did some circuit bashing during the day, NATO08 E-3A LX-N90442 and NATO09 E-3A LX-N90452 where in the curcuit from 1250 to 1550 !!
NATO09 E-3A LX-N90452 kindly did a reverse curcuit in some nice light into 11 as well, before returning onto 29.
I have included some nice closeup detail shots of the E-3 again for something different.
