Macdill KC-135 was on the approach as I arrived in the car park which I thought meant a missed photo opportunity fortunately due to the F-15 detachment the aircraft backtracked all the way down runway 11 to park on HS33 so another tanker made.
Then to almost everyone's surprise even more F-15C's called up on approach for a fullstop. 9 F-15C's and 2 F-15D's all in all arrived in quick succession. The D's interestingly where carrying an extra centre line fuel tank.
During this activity Ohio KC-135 calling Cacti11 took off to join up with the OH F-16's returning stateside. Another Macdill KC-135 also took off but no photo taken.
The arrival of McConnel KC-135 was the last airborne activity seen until leaving Mildenhall so all the images below where taken within the first hour of arriving !!.
A somewhat welcome static aircraft was the EP-3 which was rumoured to be departing today but alas didn't so a poor quality through the fence shot was all that I obtained. Once again due to the F-15's hogging the tower side of the airfield we were treated to the EP-3 being parked on the closer HS of the 95th RS.
A good first hour followed by 4 hours of nothing !!
